A Matter of the Heart

What does it take to be a shepherd? You must have the heart for it.
It's all a matter of the heart. I ask my self, do I meet the criteria, or is there more required?

I do fall short .......Lord please forgive me. I do so much want to be a shepherd after Your heart. Give me your heart so I can consistently strengthen the weak, heal the sick., and bind up the wounded. I will go and bring back the strays and search for the lost.
