Leadership as Thoughtful Hospitality

I was struck by this statement and the notion of hospitality as leadership. I wonder how many times I have longer for ‘greener pastures’ and missed the provision (hospitably) right before my eyes.

My focus on where I want to go often takes my focus off where I am and God ‘provision’ in a present sense. Not just hope of provision for tomorrow, but provision (life) today.

As a leader, I need to understand my responsibility to help people to not just see the provision of the gracious Provider, but to create a sense of welcome for those that in need of this substance.
