Finding Good Help

Am I skilled, hard-working and trustworthy as a shepherd to God’s flock? As a pastor I ask God to give me the strength and wisdom I need for each day. I seek the Divine Shepherd to help me lead His sheep. It is easy to be a hiring and to just do a job or just to put in my time. I know God is calling me to shepherd or take care of His sheep like an owner would. He is looking for one who feeds His sheep and who will lay down his life for His sheep. It reminds me of when we had a split in the church. We were down to about 1/3 of the people who were coming just 6 months before. The leadership team said that we needed to cut the staff back to not go into financial problems. I knew God had called me to care for this congregation especially those who were left. I told them I would do whatever it takes to stay and serve.
