Shepherd(s)

Over the past several years I have been challenged to reexamine my theology of ministry.
This has led me recently to work with my Board to examine their role as a Board through this 'shepherd' lens. In the past, it was far too easy (and frustrating) for them to focus on the individual at the expense of the whole. I have been expanding their understanding ministry to include the lens of 'shepherding' to include meeting, budgets, etc. (Their previous metaphor was servant and it didn't carry with it a 'group' focus.)
This recent process has helped each of us (Board and Pastor) in understanding 'ministry' and the vision for the future to which God is calling us.
