Calling vs. Job

I am reminded of my own river bank experience in receiving and knowing that God had called me into ministry, providing in in the mud of life. I continue to be amazed that I have no greater joy than to serve Him. I marvel at the fact that I LOVE my job of shepherding people and introducing people to Jesus. However, there are hard moments as we walk people through grief and hurt, but I can honestly say that on my worst day I still am thankful that people actually pay me to do what I love.
Many of my contemporaries in the business world would not be able to affirm those words and thats what makes my job a call to serve, not just a means of employment. Thank you Jesus for loving me and letting me be one of Your shepherds.
