“The issue is worthless leadership. I’m not sure why this brief comment intrigues me, but it does. I think because worthless leadership is way too common: in politics, in business, in education, in families, on sports teams, around the world. I can imagine the Apostle Paul writing, “May it not be so in the Church! But it is so in the church, all too often. And so I wonder too myself, “OK. If worthless leadership is the issue, what are the characteristics of a worthless leader? Here are some bulleted suggestions. A worthless leader:
 has no clue what the average person is going through or thinking, and doesn’t care
ï‚— does not know where is going, or where he wants to end up
ï‚— is focused only on what benefits himself, not what benefits his people
 does not care about people’s pain
 if he does know where he wants to go, doesn’t know how to get there
ï‚— submits to no person, no group of advisors, no God, and no laws; he does what he wants
ï‚— is willing to hurt or kill his own people in order to demonstrate his authority
ï‚— cares about his image, but not about truth
