Gatekeepers

It is interesting how we come back to this topic when we think of sheep. It has often been suggested that sheep are amongst the dumbest animals in the world because of their nack for doing dumb things. They fall in ditches and cannot negotiate their way out for example. How different are we in the eternal realm of things? We are so easily to fall victime to cons, lies and deceptions and have been since that fateful day in the Garden. It is so easy for Satan to steal away those sheep that may not know Christ at this time, but He is working on their heart through the Holy Spirit. Even as Christians, Satan is prone to sneeking into our lives through various forms and stealsing what is most important to us. He steals our time, our families and sometimes our faith by allowing us to be deceived into his lies and false propaganda. How reassuring it is that we do serve as Chief Spehperd who is looking after our interest, but we must be willing to stay in the pasture and resist venturing out.
