CKC Blaine risk and sacrifice

The challenge of shepherds is to balance mercy with courage. I have seen jellied back preachers sacrifice young parishioners because they wouldn't speak up for themselves. In the book while shepherds watch their flocks page 112 the author records shepherding required us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. This is a important aspect of our calling and should be remembered in all situations.
