R.C. Sproul's publication, Tabletalk, had an interesting reading for today. Apparently diplomas are often referred to as "sheepskins" because this is what they were originally printed on. Dr. James Montgomery Boice noticed the irony in Jesus' warning about wolves in sheepskins. Many high level academia, wrapped up in their academic achievements, are pushing their philosophies and empty deceits on unsuspecting communities. Coincidentally, I also just read James Dobson's monthly newsletter with a piece on the Jesus Seminar, a group of scholars who have made every effort to disassemble the truths of the gospel. These people are deceived and deceivers. Identity in an array of academic achievements is a masquerade. Let's be sure we find our absolute identity in Christ so we may identify those wolves who are dressed up in "sheepskins."
