As a shepherd of many sheep, it is my job to know the people who are helping me shepherd the flock that God has given us. As I train and equip them to shepherd I need to know their name like they know their sheep’s names. What a joy it is to know that God has given me people who have a compassionate heart to care for the sheep. God gives me the greatest joy when I hear how they minister to the sheep and enjoy doing it. This is a great joy to model my shepherding after God and watch them model shepherding by watching me. What a great responsibility also that this is.
